Roseville flying high in NAFA World Series A-Major, but set to meet tough Bedford

QUAD CITIES, IA/IL – The Roseville, Calif. Eagles beat Salt Lake Page Brake 14-6 to advance to the winners bracket final of the A-Major Division where they will take on the Bedford, Penn. Rays in Saturday’s featured game.

Roseville scored runs in each of the first four innings to run-rule Page Brake and end the game in the fifth inning. The Eagles have been on an offensive mission, averaging nine runs a game by outscoring four opponents 37 to 9.

The Eagles (4-0) opened the A-Major Division by beating Sibley Fastpitch, 7-1, Ostrander, 7-0, Mac’s Fastpitch Weezers, 9-2, and Page Brake.

    Bedford 7, Stoneyard 2

Bedford scored four runs in the first inning highlighted by Mike Rohrer’s run scoring double and a two run home run by Dan Moyer. The Rays added three more runs in the fifth to seal the win.

Stoneyard plated a single run in the fifth on Robb Kay’s RBI double, bringing home Dean Rogers, who led off the inning with a double. Then in the seventh, Rogers’ double brought in Brendan Stable for the final run.

Bedford (4-0) defeated Cleon’s Auto 7-5, Bushue Tree Service 8-7, KC New Age Outlaws 4-1, and Stoneyard to advance and meet Roseville.
