FRANKENMUTH, Mich. – The ISC will be hosting a boys’ fastpitch softball tournament in Saginaw, MI, July 21-23.

The tournament offers competition in three age divisions: 14-Under, 16-Under and 18-Under. Led by Tournament Director, Tom Stasik, the ISC is seeking to grow and increase fastpitch numbers among the youth throughout North America.

“We are hoping that this will be an annual event,” said Stasik, the ISC treasurer, and who has served the ISC since 1984. “We are hoping to draw several teams from the United States. I have had several Canadian teams contact me already.”

Stasik added that it’s imperative that all who support the growth of male fastpitch “spread the word” about the tournament.

“If any of you know of any areas that may have youth teams or individual players that may be interested in giving fastpitch a shot, please pass the word along,” he said.

When: July 21-23, 2017
Where: Saginaw, Mich.
Divisions: 14-U, 16-U, 18-U.
Entry fee: $300

Thank you, Bob. We want to get more young blood involved. Kids don’t know what is available to them.

Tom, you and those helping you, deserve much credit for trying to bring boys into fastpitch, which unfortunately, hasn’t proven an easy assignment in trying to grow the sport. Here’s hoping this works out successfully.
