BEAUMONT, CAPopular softball tournament comes to Beaumont over the Fourth of July

Softball fans come to see pitchers hurling fastballs across home plate at 60 mph and sluggers swinging for centerfield fences 230 feet away. At this weekend’s (34th) annual Beaumont Coyotes Fast Pitch Softball Tournament, thousands of fans will also enjoy freshly prepared, homemade Mexican food.

The popular tournament, which draws thousands of fans from across Southern California and beyond, begins Friday night, July 2nd, at Rangel Park’s Valdivia Field and ends Sunday night on the Fourth of July, with a championship game.
