USA Softball Junior Men claim consolation prize at ISF Junior Mens World Championship

WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA The USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team took the field versus Mexico on Sunday in the consolation finals of the International Softball Federation (ISF) Junior Men’s World Championship and won convincingly 11-5 the Amateur Softball Association (ASA)/USA Softball announced today.

With the win, Team USA finished 7-4, their best record in the Junior Men’s World Championship since 1985.

The battle for Gold begins at the ISF Junior Men’s World Championship

WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA – The wheat has been separated from the chaff; the cream has risen to the top.

Call it what you may. But after eight days and 54 games in the 10th ISF Junior Men’s World Championship, it has come down to this.

Argentina, New Zealand, Japan, and Australia have proven they are the four best teams in young men’s (age 19-under) fastpitch softball.

Masmu goes long ball and Argentina rolls over Japan in ISF Junior Men’s World Championship

WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA – Gonzalo Masmu bats in the number eight spot. But after his performance against Japan on Wednesday, Argentina management just might want to move him up a few spots.

Masmu hammered three home runs – a two run shot in the fourth inning, a three-run blast in the fifth, and for good measure another two-run homer in the seventh – to lead Argentina to an 8-1 victory over Japan.
