    First Annual NAFA Western Championships in Carson City

    DAYTON, OR – The 1st annual NAFA Western Championships will be held at the Centennial Sport Complex in Carson City, Nev., July 5-6.

    The tournament is NAFA sanctioned and restricts pitchers to class A and A-Major, and must be pre-approved. The eight teams entered will play three pool play games on Saturday and then will be seeded for Sunday’s championship playoffs.

    DAYTON, Ore. – The North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) will hold the First Annual NAFA Western Championships at Centennial Park in Carson City, Nevada, July 4-6.

    The Western Championships will include competition in three divisions:

  • 8 AA / AA-Major teams
  • 24 A-Major
  • 48 A division
    • AWARDS

    Two motel rooms for three nights and a paid entry fee berth to the next NAFA World Series to each Division winner in the three separate Divisions.

    Boatnik Men’s Fastpitch Tournament in Grants Pass Memorial Day Weekend

    GRANTS PASS, Ore. – The 43rd Annual NAFA Boatnik Men’s Fastpitch Tournament in Grants Pass, Oregon will he held Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26.

    The entry fee is $400 with a four-game guarantee.

    Ten teams are planning on playing and may need some players. A few teams still need pitchers as well. For those interested in joining a team for the tournament, text NAFA Executive Director Benjie Hedgecock at 503-559-5398 and he will get you on a team.

    Most of these teams listed ask that each player chip in $40 to play.

    The tournament can accomodate one or two more teams. Contact Hedgecock if interested.

    There are no Friday night games, and as an added treat, the Boatnik Tournament runs in conjunction with the Boatnik Carnival-Car Show-Boat Races that draws upwards of 30,000 fans.

    So besides fastpitch softball, the Memorial Day weekend is fun for everyone.
