2016 ISC World Tournament standings, all-world teams and MVP’s

MOLINE, IL – The Inernational Softball Congress World Tournament was held in Moline, IL, Aug. 13-20, with 36 teams competing for the coveted 70th championship.

The Toronto Gators won the title in an exciting all-Canada final, in which Shane Boland belted a walk-off, three-run home run for a 6-3 victory over the three-time defending champion Hill United Chiefs.

    Fastpitch friendly Quad Cities hosting 2014 NAFA World Series

    DAYTON, ORE – The Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois hold a long and distinguished reputation for hosting quality men’s national fastpitch softball tournaments.

    The International Softball Congress (ISC) has chosen the Quad Cities several times for its World Tournaments, including 2013.

    And now the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) will hold its World Series in the Quad Cities in 2014.

    “We love the central geographic location and felt it was the right choice for our teams,” said NAFA Executive Director Benjie Hedgecock. “It gives our teams a great city and a great host with great fields.”

    Quad Cities busy preparing for 2013 ISC World Tournament

    QUAD CITIES, IL/IA – The cities of Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa; and Rock Island, Moline and East Moline comprise the cities that border both Illinois and Iowa, and are known as the “Quad Cities.”

    Some of the very best men’s fastpitch softball has been played in these parts. And some of the sport’s most voracious fans also come from this part of the country.

    In August, these ardent fans, along with fastpitch fans from throughout North America, will descend upon the Quad Cities and be treated to the very best in men’s fastpitch softball: the 2013 International Softball Congress World Tournament, Aug. 10-17.

    2013 will mark 13 times that the World Tournament has been held in the Quad Cities area. Most recently in 2009 and 2011.

    The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau recently released its tournament website. Be sure to visit the website and plan now to attend the World Tournament. The website lists many attractions for visitors along with information on flights into the area, as well as accomodations at preferred hotels.
