United States routs Dominican Republic in 2015 Pan American Games

antonio.mancha.44 Tony Mancha (El Paso, Texas) fired a no-hitter and had two hits in leading the United States to victory in the opening game of the 2015 Pan American Games, Sunday.

TORONTO – The United States Men’s National Softball Team played nearly flawless fastpitch softball in overpowering the Dominican Republic 10-0 in its first game of the Pan American Games at President’s Choice Ajax Pan Am Ballpark, Sunday.

Led by Tony Mancha’s no-hitter and an offense that pounded out 11 hits, Team USA was never threatened in its lopsided victory over one of the world’s most powerful softball teams.

Nate Devine hit a bases-loaded triple to break open a tight game with Denmark in the 2015 ISF Men’s World Softball Championship, July 2, at Bob Van Impe Stadium in Saskatoon, SK, Canada.

SASKATOON, SK, Canada – Nate Devine and Chris Miljavic drove in the runs, Josh Johnson (2-0) pitched his second win, and the United States defeated Denmark, 9-2, in the final game of Pool B to finish with a 4-3 record in the 2015 14th ISF Men’s World Softball Championship at Bob Van Impe Stadium, Thursday.
