Pernetti powers USA past Japan in ISF Junior Men’s World Championship

WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA – When runners get on base, it’s the clean up batter’s job to drive them in.

Job well done Jim Pernetti.

Batting in the number four spot, the right-side power-hitter blasted a two-run homer in the first inning, and drove in two more runs with a bases-loaded single to center in the fourth.

Canada takes wild rollercoaster border battle from USA

WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA – Canada giveth and Canada taketh away.

The marquee game of Sunday night’s ISF Junior Men’s World Championship featured the border battle between Canada and the USA.

But through the first 6 1/3 innings the game was less marquee and all Canadian dominance.

Team USA bounces back against Czech Republic in ISF Junior Men’s World Championship

WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA – Team USA’s Phillip Zimmerman needed just a few hours rest and he was ready to toe the pitching rubber again.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound right-hander shook off a disappointing 4-1 loss to New Zealand in mid-afternoon and came back in the night cap to pitch another seven strong innings to lead Team USA to an 8-4 victory over the Czech Republic on Saturday.
