MIDLAND, Mich. – Jonathan Broadbear was struggling with the bat, no doubt, getting just one hit in his last 13 trips to the plate. But it’s not what you did in the past that counts, but what you do NOW. Especially in a game-winning situation.

And did Broadbear ever come up clutch for Team USA late Wednesday night.

USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team defeat Walcott Lamplighter to open training/exhibition schedule

NORMAL, Il – USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team outlasted Walcott Lamplighter of Iowa on Saturday after six lead changes, squeaking out a 4-3 win at O’Neil Park in Normal.

USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning scoring Peyton HALLto give the the junior men the lead for good.

PeytonHall Peyton Hall of Prairie du Chien, Wisc. led the junior men in hitting to open the team’s training/exhibition schedule in preparation for the Junior Men’s World Championship in Midland, Mich., July 24-30.

HALL went a perfect 3-of-3 at the plate. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Zane CHASON worked out of four tricky spots for USA Junior Men’s National Team. He pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and two walks. CHASON faced his toughest situation in the fifth inning when Walcott plated a pair of runs after two outs. But CHASON escaped further damage by getting a flyout to end the inning.

The top of the first saw Walcott Lamplighter take an early lead, 1-0. Kyle Meincke got things going for Walcott Lamplighter with a single. A single by Duke Sims then moved Meincke from first to third, who later scored on a passed ball.

USA Junior Men’s National Team went up for good in the fifth scoring two runs on back-to-back hits by Derek MARTIN and Hall. Both later came around on a pair of errors for Team USA’s final two runs.

    Whitehorse, Yukon, CA – Philip Zimmerman pitched a two-hitter, the offense collected 12 hits, and team USA defeated the Czech Republic 12–2, Saturday, to move into the ISF Junior Men’s World Championship Consolation Championship.

    Strong arms drive Argentina past USA in ISF Junior Men’s World Championship

    WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA – The number one team rests its number one pitcher and suffers no ill effects.

    Argentina held back ace right-hander Huemul Mata, instead going with the strong-armed arsenal of Roman Godoy at the start and Franco Gini to close.

    And the two were as good as Argentina could want, combining on a three-hitter to beat the USA 9-2 at the Pepsi Softball Centre in Whitehorse, Thursday.

    USA defeats Denmark in ISF Junior Men’s World Championship

    DuCharmBryce Bryce DuCharme sets the tone in his lead off spot as Team USA defeats Denmark.

    WHITEHORSE, YUKON, CA – Bryce DuCharme hammered a home run over the right-field fence to lead off the game, and Team USA went on to run-rule Denmark, 13-4, Friday night in the first game of the ISF Junior Men’s World Championship for both teams.

    DuCharme, a left-handed hitter from Hudson, Wisc. went 4 for 4 to lead a 10 hit attack.
